Changing to a carbon seatpost on your road bike or gravel bike improves comfort while also saving some weight. Mountain bikes can benefit from the use of a dropper post. This allows you to adjust the seat post height during a ride with the click of a button or pull of a lever on your bars, giving greater flexibility while ascending a climb or flying down a trail. Although most MTB droppers are compatible, you may need to check if your bike needs internal or external cable routing for the remote lever.
