MIPS
Il MIPS BPS (Brain Protection System) � stato creato per aggiungere protezione nei caschi contro il movimento rotazionale. Il movimento rotazionale � una combinazione di energia di rotazione (velocit� angolare) e forze di rotazione (dall'accelerazione angolare) che colpisce il cervello e aumenta il rischio di lesioni cerebrali minori e gravi. MIPS BPS ha dimostrato scientificamente di ridurre il movimento di rotazione quando implementato in un casco assorbendo e reindirizzando le energie di rotazione e le forze trasferite al cervello.
Virginia Tech 5 Star Rating
In collaborazione con l'Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, Virginia Tech ha valutato un totale di 128 caschi da bici utilizzando il sistema di valutazione STAR.
