This Modern Slavery statement has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of section 16 of the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (the Act) and covers the activities of Giant Bicycle Co Pty Ltd ABN 35 006 904 730 (Giant Group). Giant Bicycle Co Pty Ltd a subsidiary of GIANT (Taiwan) Manufacturing Co/ Ltd, is required to submit a statement pursuant to the Australian Commonwealth Modern Slavery Act.

2. Structure and Operations
Founded in 1972, Giant Group has grown from an OEM for bicycle components to a global leader in bicycles. Combining bicycle design, R&D, manufacturing and branding, Giant Group settles for nothing less than the best quality and endeavours to serve all cyclists with our brands and services, making us the first choice for many.
Giant Group in Australia was established in 1988 and is the sole distribution centre of Giant bikes, parts, accessories, and services through 150+ retailers in Australia as well as distributing products for the Liv, Momentum and CADEX brands.
Giant Group in Australia forms part of the global Giant Group, with a global supply chain of manufacturing partners. We share the Giant Group’s mission for a zero-tolerance to modern slavery and human trafficking through shared practices, corporate responsibility, and supply chain assessments. Giant Group in Australia does not engage in manufacturing and does not own or control any other entities.
3. Policies on Modern Slavery
Giant Group does not and will not work with suppliers who have failed to comply with basic international labour organisation standards. Above this, Giant Group has a rating system and daily assessment methods for suppliers:
Perform monthly assessment of the quality and delivery status of the supplier's products and conduct necessary guidance and assistance to the manufacturers with poor conditions according to the results of the assessment and continue to track and improve.
Perform a review of the supplier evaluation grading system on a quarterly basis to maintain the correct supplier selection
The policy is stated in the supplier contract with a view to the supplier's joint commitment to fulfil the social responsibility of the relevant company.
4. Processes
Giant Group and their suppliers establish long-term partnerships to jointly promote many projects, such as e-procurement platform, automation, green procurement, public welfare activities, industrial safety, and environmental protection. Giant Group has regular meetings with key suppliers and shares their experience of outstanding manufacturing. More importantly, Giant Group visits key suppliers to create a common goal and share corporate social responsibility including their zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.
5. Risk Assessment
As a member of corporate citizenship, Giant Group operates with care, fulfills social and corporate responsibilities, fully abides by relevant local laws and regulations, and supports and respects internationally relevant labour human rights norms, and protects employees' legitimate rights and interests and employment policies without discrimination. We will also conduct risk assessments on a regular basis to minimise the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking with the direct and indirect supply chain.
6. Training and Fair Employment Practice
Giant Group is aware of modern slavery risks and endeavours to provide all employees with the ability to understand and identify modern slavery and human trafficking throughout the business and supply chain. Training is supplied to all colleagues, and we are committed to ensuring that there is a zero tolerance of modern slavery or human trafficking within our direct or indirect supply chain or business to ensure our core values are upheld throughout the business and create a better world through cycling.
